As part of the refurbishment of an existing Halfords store in Kingston, South West London, Sprayzone were appointed as the preferred spraying contractor to complete the on site spraying works to the aluminium framing of the existing shopfront windows and entrance doors.
The shopfront had been previously painted and this was now showing signs of failure. Thorough surface preparation was therefore required and included removal of all existing failing paint back to bare aluminium, before full abrasion of all surfaces.
Spray application was carried out using HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) spray equipment to ensure a consistent and even finish with 1 no. primer coat and 2 no. finish coats of colour+fast (AC-01) Aluminium Coating. This coating has similar performance characteristics to factory applied powder coating, providing an extremely durable and colourfast finish.
All works were completed out of normal working hours to minimise disruption to customers and employees and the store was able to open as normal the following morning.
